My first photo-shoot…it was fun, challenging, frustrating but mostly a life changing experience that I will never forget. I always loved photography but I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I’ve learned to love it even more because photography is more than just a hobby, it’s an art, it’s a lifestyle, it’s putting your creative side out there and is thinking outside the box all the time. You want to be unique and tell a beautiful story that everyone will fall in love with, just like you fall in love with every photo you take.
My first professional photo-shoot was taking photos of these really cool-professional looking metal business cards for MetalBusinessCards.com
It was fun because I was able to design cool concept ideas for each card, oh boy but more than a 100 cards was a bit challenging, I loved it though. Each card had to tell a different story as each card was uniquely made and served a specific purpose. It was a project I decided to focus on to learn my camera and lighting techniques.
Product photography was an eye opener because it taught me how important Photo Composition is. Now I treat everything I shoot as a product because everything requires a different lighting technique, it requires focusing on the product or person to tell its unique story.
As I continue to learn and grow, I continue to love more what I do. I hope that you follow my journey into photography and remember that everything you once dreamed of can become a reality if you are willing to go through the process.
With Luv,
Karla
